Weigh In Day

Starting Weight: 189
Last Weeks Weight: 186
Current Weight: 186.4

So, I gained .4. Could have been a lot worse. I was hoping for my 3 pounds again, but like is always said, "It took awhile to put the pounds on, it will take awhile to get them off."

Last night I started doing the Couch to 5k program. It is where you follow their schedule and within 9 weeks, you are 5k ready. I hope I follow through with it. I tried to come up with an excuse last night to not start (no stopwatch) but then I looked to see if my cell phone had one...and it did! So, I used that. I was about to die after getting off the treadmill, but it also felt good too.

My mother is a Pancreatic Cancer survivor. When she lost her hair during chemo my grandma made her some head scarves because they were like $30 in the stores. She bought a pattern at Walamrt and made her a bunch in some really nice fabrics. I have decided to make some and donate them at our Relay for Life event coming up in April. Here is a picture of my first attempt to make one:
I was happy with the results. I will post some more when I get them made.

  1. Oh, I wanted to let you know that I have the couck to 5k podcasts that i got from itunes - they are still on the itunes store for free. They are awesome - you don't need a stopwatch, and the music on it is actually pretty good. you should check them out!

  2. i stole your link on the couch to 5k, that is going to be really helpful. thanks for that! i plan on starting to run on my treadmill again once our basement is cleared out. not a tough task but we keep on putting it off! isn't life funny?
