100 plus degree weather

It is so hard to stay motivated when it has been 100 plus degree weather for multiple days now. Just walking out to get the mail is a chore. I come back in with beads of sweat running down my face. Yuck!!

I am still in this, but it is starting to get on my nerves. I always do this to myself. I get really into it and when I don't see drasctic change I go back to the way I was. And then I get upset when I gain weight.

This lifestyle change is not going to be easy, but I am still trucking a long!!!

How is everyones week so far?

Confession: Food is out of control right now!!

Cheer: I took a tv, baby toys, and three more bags of clothes to Goodwill today. I am in the groove!! I know this will help me with my diet because I will feel better about myself mentally.

  1. Staying motivated for years has been the hardest part for me. Right now, this is the longest I've ever been on track. I think what I do to stay motivated, what is different from the past, is I try not to talk down to myself, I don't let the lazy part of my brain win the argument, and I think of how much better I feel about myself now. I'm not at my goal weight, but I'm closer than ever. I always say slow and steady wins the race. A drastic change may just be your undoing.

  2. The heat here has been getting to me, it makes it so hard to be motivated. I don't want to go outside at all. Of course in the winter we don't want to go outside because it's too cold, lol.

MOTIVATION comes and goes with the tide. That's why we have to keep finding new ways to get motivated.keep working on cleaning out the house, that sounds like a good activity.

  3. Where are you? I'm in Louisiana. The heat is killer hear too - i think it's hotter everywhere this year though!! It's insane. And you're right about walking to the mailbox. I don't even put my makeup on until i get to work (honestly, on my way to work, at red lights. Yeah, i'm THAT girl!) b/c i'll just sweat it off by the time i walk from the house to my car!!! Ridiculous!

Don't worry, girl - just keep at it. I do the same thing. But this time i'm sticking with it! Eventually, the lifestyle change really becomes your lifestyle! :)
