Why?

Why can't you do your own laundry?
Why do you get mad at me when you don't have clean underwear?
Why can't you do the dishes after I have cooked?
Why can't you offer to cook some nights?
Why do I have to get up in the middle of the night for the baby every night?
Why don't you offer to watch the kids while I go to the store?
Why can't you change out the trash can when you see it is full?
Why do I have to be the one in charge of all of the bills?
Why can't you get the kids dressed on the weekends when you know I do it all week?

and most importantly...

Why do you have to look at other girls when you know my self-esteem is at an all time low??

  1. Ooops, not a good day. Give that guy a kick in the butt and make sure he does his share. After all, you deserve it.

  2. This made my heart hurt! You most definitely deserve more than this! Remember you are being the better person! Have a good little talkin with him and tell him to get it in gear! Having support and help during this is very important. Keep your head up! Here for you!

  3. Wow, I could have written that myself more than 6 months ago. Unfortunately but fortunately we are now separated and I don't have to deal with that stuff anymore. Here's to him opening his eyes and seeing the good thing he has (unlike my husband) before he loses it. I am sorry you have to deal with that crap at all though. ((hugs))

  4. I'd like to apologize for men everywhere. We can be extremely dense sometimes.

I'd suggest you straight up tell him the things you want him to do. When we were dating, my wife actually had to tell me that she wanted me to ask her how her day was.

I know we all want someone who can read our minds, and are disappointed when we find out our partners can't.

Straight up tell him what you need him to do. If he isn't living up to those expectations, tell him that too. You deserve someone who knows how to take care of you.

  5. Honey, I am so sorry! You are an amazing woman who is obviously capable of doing so much! I hope that you can have a talk. Most important though--make sure you somehow find a way to take care of you!!

  7. I agree with all the people above! Give him a good butt kicking and stern talking to! :) Y'all should make a deal to half all the duties and chores. At my house we especially half the baby duties. It makes life much easier because neither of us feel overworked by it. We even take turns for nighttime. One night he's on duty all night, then the next night is all mine. At least I get one night of sleep every other night. When the new baby comes, we'll each take a kid everynight and then be responsible for that child in the morning. Even if sharing the kid responsibilities won't go over well, make a fair share of duties to split up. He can't be THAT stubborn! haha! :)
